High School Rewind: The Cast of "The Heirs"

For this year, one of my favorite Korean drama is "The Heirs" or "The Inheritors". 

Honestly speaking, the plot is SIMPLE. It is a typical love story of a poor girl and rich boy. They even say that it was the Korean version of Gossip Girl. I was a former fan of the American series but I cannot really see on how was it related with the "The Heirs".

However, why do I love the drama? 1) Lee  Min Ho is the main character 2) The scenes depict the typical chick-flick style and 3) The characters are easy to relate with.

In relation with the third question, what kind of students were they in real life? 

8)Park Hyunsik as Jo Myung Soo

He is considered as one of the richest idols before debut. He is indeed a chaebol.  His co-members in Z:EA does not deny it. Yet, in an interview in tVn's "Baek Ji Yeon's People Inside", he clarifies the issue. He mentioned that his father is not the CEO of BMW Korea but works as a manager for the company. 

During his high school days, he admitted that his character as Jo Myung Soo is just the same as he is- bright and optimistic.

7) Kim Ji Won as Rachel Yoo

Rachel Yoo- The Mean Girl 

She studied in Baekam High School and currently studying in Dongguk University. I will be honest, there are a limited number of information about her (expect that if you type her name JYJ's Jaejoong will also appear). She started acting in 2008 and she slowly moving her career to stardom. 

6) Kang Ha Neul as Lee Hyo Shin

In the drama, I see his character who needs to elevate his self-confidence. He pretends that everything is alright if even it is against his will. However, in real life he said that when he was a high school student he was 

• rebellious
• avid fan of work-out
• not a model student
• loves instruments and books 

5) Krystal Jung as Lee Bo Na

Krystal's profile was easy to find for she has just graduated from Hanlim Performing Arts last February 7, 2013. She is under SM Entertainment one of the largest and powerful entertainment companies in Korea. Being a member of f(x) and sister of Jessica of Girls' Generation, she was under the spotlight for the past years. There were issues before regarding her attitude problems. However, these were clarified by Krystal as well as her company. Before moving to Korea, she was a student of Korea Kent Foreign School.

4) Kang Min Hyuk as Yoon Chan Young

He said that his character is similar to the story because he was a good student but not the "popular" kid. 

3) Kim Woo Bin as Choi Young Do

He was very honest with his past. He used to stay in a sauna just to have  a shelter. He and his family cannot afford to pay the rent of his house. He worked hard to be a model despite of rejections and failures. In 2006, it was the turning point of his life. He was able to get offers as a model and the rest is history.

2) Park Shin Hye as Cha Eun Sang

It was an exceptional attitude that she was able to balance her life as a student and actress at the same time. She is also good in baseball.  

1)Lee Min Ho as Kim Tan

He is a talented soccer player. Things changed when he got an injury in elementary and he does not play often anymore. He started acting in second year high school.
