With the rise of sasaeng fans, managers also have to protect their artists. However, there are some incidences that the fan was just in the level of being in cloud nine. Yet, the managers
go over board. As they say, there are 3 kinds of stories: the one who was hurt, the one who hurts and the truth. These are compilations of managers of idols who were in controversy due to assault.
1. CNBLUE
This happened in 2010 when the band was about to rehearse in Music Bank. Fans were swarming to CNBLUE's van and the boys cannot go down. Finally, each member slowly gets down and a fan pulled Jonghyun's hoodie. He almost fell down. Thus, the manager was triggered to hit the fan.
My opinion: You might notice that Jonghyun was smiling. I think he was smiling that the mere fact that he was not happy anymore with the situation. He almost fell and was hurt. And not because the manager was hurting his fan.
2. SHINee
Just right after CNBLUE's controversy, SHINee's manager was the talk of the town. The girl tried to go near Jonghyun. Then, pak!
My opinion: SHINee was on fire because some netizens mentioned that the boys did not do anything especially Jonghyun. Looking back at the situation, he just pretended that it did not happen because the situation might get worse. Same with Onew and Key. Taemin and Minho who was at the back were curious of the event.
3. EXO
The boys were in Gimpo Airport when this incident happened. The fan was so near taking video/picture of Tao and the manager hit him. This caused her glasses to fall off as well.
My opinion: Tao was also surprised. He also looked back to check the fan. Just like any idols, he cannot do anything.
4. SNSD
This does not involve the manager of the bodyguard. Yes! He accidentally hit a fan. Was it? No, it was actually Jessica. He thought that she was a fan and bang! she hit the handrail.
My opinion: Was he alright? I mean he should fully know the people he should protect. Jessica was terrified on the incident.
Lesson Learned: Nobody has the right to hurt another person. I fully understand that they wanted to protect the idols however they were really outrageous. Do they really have to hit a person so they can just stop? I think entertainment companies should understand that without the fans the idols are NOTHING. Even the most popular boy group in the world and top celebrities in Hollywood are very accommodating to their fans. Just sayin!

there's a difference in cultures when it comes to korea and america fans in the usa know not to do stupid shit because they will get checked by society and other fans plus the law will be harsh on them. Where as korean fans think more so the idols are their toys. the saesang fans for one many times have no societal or legal reprocutions for their obviously illegal and wrong actions. fans yanking pulling hair and trying to cause harm like in the pic above Yes a violent response was absolutely nessecary. And when people act like this you force these managers etc to take a seriously aggressive role
