Drama Review: My Secret Romance



Plot:
Jin-wook and Yoo-mi meet at a Gangwon-do resort and get caught up in a series of misunderstandings and accidents. Yoo-mi was charmed by Jin-wook's sly and playful personality, and they unexpectedly spend the night together. However, Yoo-mi disappears in the morning, leaving Jin-wook feeling perplexed and irrationally angry.
Three years later, the two meet again when Yoo-mi becomes a nutritionist at the company cafeteria where Jin-wook works. They pretend to not recognize each other, while fighting their attraction for each other.Finally Yoo mi admits that she remembers the incident.Jin wook asks her the reason that why she left him and she replies that it was just a one night stand.

After Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, I was looking for another romantic comedy drama that I will religiously watch. And perhaps, this drama caught my attention after watching the trailer at Dramafever. 

Sung Hoon (Cha Jin Wook), the male lead, might be familiar to you if you watched Oh My Venus! He played the professional boxer trained by John Kim (So Ji Sub).  

Song Ji Eun (Lee Yoo Mi-sounds like Giyomi), the female lead, is a former member of Secret. Prior to her departure to the group, she already had solo music and acting commitments. 
In Episodes 1 and 2, I have to admit that I keep dragging the fast forward button. Why? It is mainly on the acting of the main characters. It was pretty much obvious that they were not yet confident with their characters and how to handle it. To be honest, I was already thinking whether I should continue watching the drama. 
Yet, I decided to forgive them and continue to Episodes 3 and 4. I came to realized that Episodes 1 and 2 happened in 2014. Meeting again after 3 years is indeed a surreal experience for both characters. After "what happened", they now have the boss-personal nutritionist relationship which resulted to awkward situations.

 If you are looking for a feel good drama with a hint romance and comedy, I definitely recommend this. In Episode 3, Yoo Mi keeps on pretending that she does not know Jin Wook. On the other hand, Jin Wook, keeps on plotting on how to catch Yoo Mi's lies. There was no more beating around the bush, and it was also on the same episode that she admitted that she knows him. Yet, the development of the character's feelings will not be easy with the presence of Yoo Mi's best friend, Jung Hyung Tae, played by Kim Jae Young and Jin Wook's annoying friend, Joo Hye Ri played by Jung Da Sol. 

 Aha! I just finished Episodes 5 and 6. I really love how both of them have misunderstandings regarding the object inside the jewelry box. Also, I really like Jin Wook's style so he will be closer with Yoo Mi. 

 The drama has only 12 episodes and has the Monday-Tuesday schedule.

EXO and their Sasaeng Fans (The Fatal Encounter of Each Member)
